Mangold strudel with Labané

A perfect mid-week dinner for a day when everything else wants to go wrong. This strudel comforts you twice: It is simple and a guaranteed success and it tastes so delicious that you’ll be instantaneously at peace with the world again.

You’ll need: (Ready made) Pastry dough, a bunch of chard, an onion and 2 cloves of garlic, a bowl of deli dip labané and two whisked eggs

This is how it works: Wash the chard leaves and cut away the stalks. Chop the stalks into fine cubes and fry them with the small cut onion in some butter. Chop the garlic cloves and add them. Cut the green leaves into stripes. Season with salt and pepper and set the pan aside. Prepare the puff pastry on a baking tray. When the chard mixture has cooled, mix it with the deli dip labané and the eggs (reserve some of the mixed egg in a bowl). Fill the puff pastry with the chard mixture, roll everything into a strudel and coat it with the remaining egg. Put into the oven at 180 ° until the strudel is golden brown.
